I think as a student we have so much free time - no worries about what will happen. If the world crashes around us, I think we might still be oblivious to it.

As children we are told to listen to our parents and obey them (Ephesians 6:1-3 ).

Very often our parents will nag us to study. I think many of us will do a bit of it to keep them off our backs. Moreover, there are many other things that grab our attention. Question is do we go an extra mile to in our studies? Do we put our best in it? Well some of us find it hard to get the studying going. Some of us have loads to study and so many subjects to tackle. How to cope with this?

This is what I've learnt and I would like to share it here. But remember, if you want to try this, you must put your whole heart into it and have FAITH... and doubt not.
  1. Joshua 1:8 ; "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." The lesson here is if you go the extra mile to study God's Word and do what it says and the promises will come to you, success in all.... studies also
  2. You might say how can this happen? Well from Proverbs 3:5 ; "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding";
  3. Don't just sit there. That won't do you any good.  Proverbs 12:24 says, "Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor." See?  We must still study cos if nothing goes in, then nothing comes out. This applies not only in the studies of our school subjects but also the Word of God.
  4. In the face of exams, don't worry for Matthew 6:34 says "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

These verses have helped me try to be a better student. I hope they will to you too. May God bless you and prosper you. We need to have our faith in action. And for us students, what better way is there to honor God than in our lives as a student as just that.
